Yes, treatments are very safe: The gel injected into your skin is biodegradable, allowing it to break down and become absorbed into the skin naturally. Complications can arise, these are rare and will be discussed with you prior to the procedure. In the eye area the most common side effects include-

• Lumpy uneven areas
• Tyndall or blueing of area
