Bunny and Scrunch Lines at a glance
Our results speak for themselves
Precisely placed muscle relaxant injections are placed in tiny muscles either side of the nose. This relaxes hyperactive muscles. This quick non-invasive treatment will rejuvenate this area, smoothing out scrunch lines & wrinkles on the nose.
Results from injectables in this area are visible within 7 days.
There is no downtime required with cosmetic injectables. You may notice tiny red bumps around the injection sites. This resolves within 30 minutes. In rare cases there may be a tiny bruise that resolves in a few days. The treatment areas can be concealed using make-up immediately after the procedure.
Book a FREE consultation with our nurse injectors at Cutis Dermatology. They will assess your skin, as well as your expressive movements. We will then formulate a treatment plan based upon clinical assessment.
Anti-wrinkle results typically last for 3 to 4 months. The most important predictor of longevity is the degree of natural facial expression you have.
There’s mild discomfort with each injection, akin to an ant bite. If you are particularly sensitive to pain, we can use ice prior to the procedure. This makes treatments painless.
Treatments start from $98.

Simple but precise injections can reduce nasal scrunch lines. 10 seconds to perform, lasts 2-4 months.
In cases of static wrinkling (wrinkles at rest & not movement associated with bunny lines), laser resurfacing & chemical peels can be effective. The most common lasers include 1927 hybrid & CO2 lasers. The best chemical peel is the Jessner TCA peel.
Peels & lasers have a downtime of approximately one week. Though highly effective as an anti-wrinkle treatment, it is an overly aggressive treatment for isolated bunny lines. These treatments are best employed as an overall treatment for multiple wrinkles.

Nope, but we can markedly reduce them with anti-wrinkle injections. Treatment results are not permanent. As the muscle relaxant wears off, you will require a follow-up procedure to maintain your results.
In exceptional cases of twitching, anti-wrinkle can ‘reset’ this tic habit, hence in these cases, results are much longer lasting.
Wrinkles can be classified as dynamic or static bunny lines.
Dynamic bunny wrinkles are due to repeated contraction of the alaeque nasi muscle on the side of the nose.
Static bunny wrinkles are due to photoaging. As we mature, we deplete our skin of collagen & elastin. These provide the skin with tensile strength. Procedures including lasers, chemical peels & dermal fillers increase hyaluronic acid & collagen, in turn reducing wrinkles.
Skin care is an integral part of anti-aging as they reduce collagen breakdown & wrinkles. Topicals are important to prolong & potentiate the effectiveness of procedures, including anti-wrinkle & laser resurfacing.
As a guide, antioxidants including tocopherol, ascorbic acid, & ferulic acids can reduce UV stress, whilst retinol aids in collagen remodelling & wrinkle reduction.
