In cases of static wrinkling (wrinkles at rest & not movement associated with bunny lines), laser resurfacing & chemical peels can be effective. The most common lasers include 1927 hybrid & CO2 lasers. The best chemical peel is the Jessner TCA peel. 

Peels & lasers have a downtime of approximately one week. Though highly effective as an anti-wrinkle treatment, it is an overly aggressive treatment for isolated bunny lines. These treatments are best employed as an overall treatment for multiple wrinkles.

Nope, but we can markedly reduce them with anti-wrinkle injections. Treatment results are not permanent. As the muscle relaxant wears off, you will require a follow-up procedure to maintain your results. 

In exceptional cases of twitching, anti-wrinkle can ‘reset’ this tic habit, hence in these cases, results are much longer lasting. 

Wrinkles can be classified as dynamic or static bunny lines. 

Dynamic bunny wrinkles are due to repeated contraction of the alaeque nasi muscle on the side of the nose.

Static bunny wrinkles are due to photoaging. As we mature, we deplete our skin of collagen & elastin. These provide the skin with tensile strength. Procedures including lasers, chemical peels & dermal fillers increase hyaluronic acid & collagen, in turn reducing wrinkles.
