        What can cheek fillers improve?

Dermal Fillers volumise and Correct asymmetry in the face

Cheek fillers replace age related volume loss of bone, fat and collagen. Injectable fillers can be used to rejuvenate an aging face during a single treatment, reducing hollows, shadows and wrinkles.

        Dermal Filler Lift your face

As we age, laxity of ligaments, collagen and fat pads, pulls facial features downward. With precisely positioned fillers placed above, we can lift ad re-drape the skin and skin tissue below. Dermal fillers are a great substitute for surgery and require no down time.

        Projection and contouring

Our Nurse Injector have the skill and precision to preform cheeks fillers that can recreate youthful contours that tie in the middle face with the temples and llower cheeks. Strategically placed dermal fillers can enhance the skin’s luminosity by highlighting that area similar to highlighting with makeup, only better.

What Dermal Fillers do we use in cheeks?

A hyaluronic acid filler with appropriate structural integrity is used in the cheeks. Fillers are chosen depending on their lifting capacity and tissue integration.

Cutis Dermatology has one of the most extensive ranges of Dermal Fillers in Brisbane. We curate the best products from major manufacturers. This ensures the best dermal filler is selected for your age and anatomy.

How many sessions do I need?

In most cases we complete cheek filling in only one appointment. An additional session may be required in older patients  and paitents who have extreme volume loss.

How much Cheek filler do I need?

        • For those aged in their 20s to 30s: typically, 0.5ml each side to 1ml in total
        • For those aged in their 40s to 50s: 1ml each side to 2mls in total
        • For those aged in their 50s and up: 1.5ml each side or 3 to 4mls in total

To put things into perspective, one teaspoon of dermal filler is equal to 5 mls.

The amount required depends on your age, anatomy and ideal proportions.

Skin undergoes an age-related depletion of collagen & fat. This presents as volume loss, wrinkles, laxity & shadows. We can rejuvenate with injectable fillers. The most common filler is hyaluronic acid. With careful & skilful placement, this naturally occurring molecule hydrates the skin & restores volume, in turn reducing wrinkles, shadows & laxity.

How does cheek filler affect other areas of the face?

The mid cheek area supports the eyes, including the eye bags. Moving to the side, we consider projection of the cheek bone and tie things in with the temples.

A natural outcome is achieved when one area does not overpower the other.

How do I know if cheek enhancement is right for me?

Our dermatologists and nurses have both the eye for aesthetics as well as the skillset to execute the correct procedures for your facial anatomy. In person consultation is the best way to address your wants and needs

        Does Cheek Filler hurt?

There is minimal discomfort as we use fillers with pre-mixed numbing agents.

How long does it take to recover from Cheek Filler?

Dermal fillers have no downtime. You can resume normal activities immediately.

Rarely there may be bruises that last for a few days.

What are the risks and side effects of dermal filler in the cheeks?

In the cheeks, risks are minimal. Even Though intravascular injection (into a blood vessel) is a theoretic risk, cheek fillers are exquisitely safe. Our injectors use both cannulas and needles in to inject this area.

What is the cost for dermal fillers?

The total cost depends on two factors:

who does it and how much filler we use?

        • Senior nurse injector: $640 per ml.
        • Nurse injector: $599 per ml.

The exact volume of filler we use depends on your age, facial anatomy & volume loss.
