    FAQs

Why did I grant you a virtual consultation instead of a real time visit?

The most important reason is time efficiency. Most clinical cases do not require an in-office consultation for a diagnosis & treatment plan. A virtual consultation saves you (& me) time in attending the appointment.

I prefer a virtual consultation in most cases as I generate a report prior to the consultation. This allows patients to digest the diagnosis & proposed treatment algorithm prior to the consultation. (the exception is planning for injectables where animation is important).

    What is the turnaround time?

Depending on my overseas work schedule, most reports are generated within 24 hours, with a virtual consultation scheduled within 2 hours later.

Can I get an option for a real-time in person assessment?

In some cases, yes, however waiting times may extend beyond 6 months. Patients suitable for injectable are given priority as animation is required. For laser cases, a virtual consultation is by far the most efficient way.

    Do I treat acne?

No. This requires close follow up by a medical dermatologist, most often with prescriptive medicine. My work is entirely procedural.

Do I treat rashes & medical problems?

Definitely not. Again, in most cases, medical management is the best way forward.

What is involved in the report?

A report is generated prior to the virtual consultation. This report discusses your provisional diagnosis & provides you with a strategic algorithm to solve your problem. It covers treatments, the projected timeline as well as the expected outcomes, risks, & costs associated with treatments as well as the likely outcomes.

    Who will execute my treatments?

Myself, my physician, or a nurse, depending on the complexity of your treatment. My modus operandum is as follows- if the expected treatment outcome is the same (whether myself, physician or nurse does it), you will be allocated to the most cost-effective & timely appointment slot, namely my nurses at Cutis Clinic in Brisbane or my physician in Sydney.

Who will execute my treatment plan if I am overseas?

If I know of any specialist near where you reside, I will always give you the option of seeing someone there (saves you the flight to Sydney or Brisbane). The caveat is that I may not know of any specialists near you. For difficult cases of scar revision, I will also give you the option to see me in Australia.

What is the follow up fee for a virtual consultation?

A follow up fee cost $420, an initial fee is $490.
